Looking deeper...

A while back I posted some screen caps from the 'Chained' trailer and now a few more photos have been released via festival sites where the movie will be screened. In the first photo below, 'Bob' has slashed the throat of his victim...

In a just released photo, here is another angle of the same shot...

Here I have zoomed the shot to show that this is most likely the scene that caused concern about violence and the subsequent ruling of NC-17. What else I noticed, since I am all about continuity, is that the wound is correct in being executed by a left-handed person ie Vincent.

Here I've zoomed up on the photo of 'Rabbit' watching TV and on the wall is a picture of...rabbits.

Thanks for more pics, do you think that this is part of the scene that needed to be altered for a R rating? Yes, I see that also, left handed person made the slash. You can just feel the intensity. At first I thought the girl had some sort of restraint on her, until I realized it was her purse on her shoulder.

Yes, I think this might be the graphic scene they have held in question. Not sure if this is an altered photo 'cleaned up' or not.

Maybe I've become use to these type of films, where that doesn't bother me, I guess that is a rather scary thought. But there is so much violence in movies that I believe after awhile one just becomes numb to it all.

Most of the movie violence we see is rather cartoonish. I think the realism is probably what set the censors a twitter. It certainly is disturbing. Although I would not be able to tell whether an assailant was left or right handed. Good catch there Nantz.

Nice special effects make-up on the girl (looks like there's only a tiny wrinkle under the chin you'd probably never notice during the movie).

Thanks to you and Sarah for all the pics!

I'm sorry but I don't think it will be a film I'll be watching...

Even the bunnies look mad and nasty. I have a picture frame just like that LOL

I don't think I'll be as disturbed by the gore as I will by Vincent's performance. The trailer left me stunned watching his scenes. Rose, I agree, those rabbits fit right in with the bleakness of the entire set. Debra, I noticed that on her chin too...I think almost everyone has some kind of scar on their chin or knee, LOL. Glad you all are as excited about this film as I am!
