After producing India's highest grossing local movie, "3 Idiots," director Vidhu Vinod Chopra has enlisted Anton Yelchin, Chris Marquette and Vincent D'Onofrio to star in his first English-language film, "Broken Horses."
Thomas Jane, Sean Patrick Flanery and Maria Valverde co-star in the indie that Reliance Entertainment is financing. Mandeville Films' David Hoberman and Todd Lieberman are producing with Chopra and Subhash Dhar.
Pic is lensing in and around Los Angeles. Death Valley is also set to serve as a location. "Broken Horses" is set in the shadows of the U.S.-Mexico border gang wars.
Chopra conceived of the story and penned the script with Abhijat Joshi.
Tom Stern ("The Hunger Games") serves as director of photography, while Toby Corbett ("Bad Lieutenant") is the production designer and Mary Vogt ("Men in Black 3") is costume designer on "Broken Horses."
Vinod Chopra Films has produced 12 pics in India since the shingle was founded in 1977, including such hits as "1942: A Love Story," "Parineeta" and the "Patch Adams"-inspired "Munna Bhai MBBS" and its sequel. Mandeville is prepping a sequel to "The Muppets" at Disney, while Relativity and Summit are readying to release its "21 and Over" and "Warm Bodies" next year.
"3 Idiots," directed by Rajkumar Hirani, earned nearly $11 million outside of India when it was released in 2009.

Brooks Ashmanskas, Vincent D’Onofrio and Zoe Kazan Will Join Ethan Hawke in Off-Broadway's Clive

Additional casting has been announced for The New Group's upcoming production of Jonathan Marc Sherman's Clive, which begins a limited Off-Broadway engagement Jan. 17, 2013, at The New Group at Theatre Row (The Acorn Theatre, 410 West 42nd Street).






Joining the previously announced Ethan Hawke in the title role will be Brooks Ashmanskas, Vincent D’Onofrio and Zoe Kazan. Additional casting will be announced.

Also directed by Hawke, the production will officially open Feb. 7 at 7 PM.

Inspired by Bertolt Brecht's inflammatory play Baal,Clive, according to press notes, "tracks a dissipated songwriter in 1990s New York City from the hedonistic heights of seduction and consumption into an ecstasy of self-destruction."

This production reunites playwright Sherman and director Hawke, who teamed previously at The New Group on Things We Want (written by Sherman, directed by Hawke, 2007 extended run).

Performances will be Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday at 7 PM and Thursday, Friday and Saturday at 8 PM with matinees Saturday at 2 PM.

Audition for Film and TV Workshop (Saturday, November 24th 2012, 12-4 pm) As a painter prepares a canvas or a musician tunes his instrument, so must an actor prepare to create art. Based on her studies with Sonia Moore of "The American Stanislavsky Theater," with Sharon Chatten of "The Actors Studio", in NYC, and her work as a professional actor in Theater and Film, Elizabeth D'Onofrio will be conducting a four hour Audition workshop. This workshop will consist of: A cold reading technique, on camera cold readings, critique, and monologue coaching. A local talent agent will be available the first hour to speak with you all about what is going on casting wise in SW and South Florida. Elizabeth will teach you how to prepare for your audition using her technique based on her studies alongside her brother, actor, Vincent D'Onofrio.

From the Director of Surveillance, to date, Hollywood's youngest Screenwriter & Director, Jennifer Lynch, is in town for the 21st Annual Whittaker St Louis International Film Festival, showing her film "Chained". Chained is a psychological thriller that tells the story of a madman taxi-driving serial killer, Bob (Vincent D'Onofrio, from Law & Order: Criminal Intent). The movie starts at the end of an afternoon excursion, Sarah Fiddler and her young son gets in Bob's taxi to head home...they never get there. Re-christening the boy "Rabbit," Bob forcibly adopts him and compels his "son" to clean up after his crimes. In his own distorted way, Bob wants to be a good father - to raise a son who is well-prepared to succeed in the world...as a mass murderer.
